The challenge

REAL Success provides people management solutions and recruitment support for the agricultural sector.

Their primary focus is the dairy industry, and they are market leaders in providing recruitment, training, consultancy and HR support. They have also developed a diagnostic tool called VITA Profiling for establishing behavioural and communication preferences which is the bedrock of all of their solutions.

REAL Success were introduced to us in 2021 and, after conducting a SOSTAC session, we established the main challenges they were facing as a business. The good news was, they had a well-established name in the industry, products and solutions that answered the challenges faced but farmers and Paul Harris, their founder, was a keynote speaker and respected thought leader.

They were however facing external threats from competitors entering their niche and big challenges withing the agricultural sector.

The main issues they faced were:

  • An inconsistent brand
  • A very busy website with no clear messaging or calls to action
  • No consistent marketing output
  • Very few leads generated from their website
  • No database of contacts
  • No metrics or tracking in place

The solution

Rebrand

We developed a new identity and brand positioning for REAL Success that was reflective of the sector and the problems we solve for farmers. Based on our research, the brand identity went from a corporate blue design to a warmer colour pallet, designed to resonate with the prospective clients. The logo incorporated subtle farming imagery, again to make that connection with the audience. We also changed the strapline to match the key service areas and acronym in the company name – Recruit, Engage, Align, Lead

Following work on the value proposition, the messaging was changed from ‘look at us’ to how we can support the clients.

Website

When we developed the new website for REAL Success it was vital that we got the navigation right, creating a successful user journey through the site.

We created a site that reflected the pain points of the customer with easy access to information that confirmed the solutions on offer from REAL Success.

The result is a visually emotive website that delivers the relevant details to convert customers into a purchase.

Digital Marketing

We looked at the most effective channels to help REAL Success grow and developed a content marketing plan which involved search engine optimisation of website, targeting key terms, content marketing, lead capture mechanisms including free downloads and monthly email marketing campaigns sharing case studies, blog articles and press coverage.

We also worked closely with REAL Success to make sure the messaging was consistent across their social channels.

These channels helped drive traffic to the website, capture leads and nurture prospects.

HubSpot

To tie all the marketing efforts together we implemented HubSpot. This provided a database of contacts which we could segment for targeted messaging, and we utilised the marketing tools such:

  • Forms
  • Landing Pages
  • Chatbots
  • Email templates
  • Email campaigns

HubSpot gave us visability of what was and wasn’t working and gave us a clear picture of the interactions we were having with prospects and clients.

The results

In the first 6 months following the rebrand REAL Success have seen the following:

  • 50% growth in their revenue compared to the same period a year earlier
  • 182 new leads
  • 300% increase in website enquiries
  • High engagement levels with their monthly enews – Ave. 33.32% open rate and 28.94% CTR
  • 75% month-on-month increase in website traffic
  • Ranking in top 3 for keywords including ‘farming workshops, HR for farming’ and ‘people consultants for agriculture’
  • A database with over 1,750 contacts
  • Monthly reporting on performance using Google Analytics, Search Console and HubSpot
